Personal Introduction – Jesús David Caldas Pertuz

Hello, my name is Jesús David Caldas Pertuz. I'm 21 years old and I'm from Barranquilla, Colombia. I'm currently studying to become a Software Analysis and Development Technologist at SENA (National School of Education), where I strive to learn and grow both professionally and personally every day.   I consider myself an organized, dedicated person with a strong desire to improve myself. One of my most important goals is to become a software engineer and, with that, support my family, who is my greatest motivation.   In my free time, I enjoy activities such as reading, watching movies, playing soccer, and video games. In fact, I consider myself very good at video games, as I have good coordination, strategic thinking, and I like to compete.   I highly value order and discipline because I believe they are key to achieving anything you set your mind to. I'm committed to my educational process and I understand that every effort made consistently pays off.

My Work and Training Environment at SENA

My work environment is currently focused on the training process as a Software Analysis and Development Technologist at SENA. Although I am not yet officially associated with a company, during my training period I have had a very close experience with the workplace thanks to the institution's practical approach, which prepares us to work in real software development teams. Tools I Use In developing activities, I use both programming and organizational tools. Some of the most common are: Visual Studio Code: for writing and testing code. Git and GitHub: for version control and collaborative work. Trello or Jira: for managing tasks and following the project flow. Databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL: depending on the type of project. Figma: for interface design when working on the visual aspect of applications. Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Meet): for collaborating with colleagues and presenting deliverables. Communication with the Team Communication with my team is constant and es...

My Daily Routine

Studying virtually has helped me become much more disciplined and organized with my schedule. My daily routine is as follows: I usually get up at 6:30 a.m., wash up, have breakfast, and prepare my study space. By 7:00 a.m., I'm already reviewing the virtual classroom, the day's activities, and what I have planned. During the morning and part of the afternoon, I attend virtual classes if they are scheduled, or I progress with SENA modules and activities. I work on assigned projects, participate in forums or virtual meetings, and conduct additional research to reinforce the topics covered. At noon, I take a break for lunch and a rest. In the afternoon, I resume work, organize my progress, or review pending corrections. I also use this time to study on my own, practice coding, or watch tutorials. When my academic day is over, I dedicate time to my hobbies: reading, watching movies, playing soccer, and video games. These activities help me relax and recharge for the next day. Final...
